Personal Bio
Shane McGregor is an Echoing Green Fellow. He created the Technology-in-Learning Program as a model program dedicated to providing computer access and computer training programs for children, teenagers, adults, and families, in underprivileged communities. The program’s goal was to produce positive change in the economic and social conditions that divide society through progressive training programs and community building activities. Since completing his fellowship in 1998, Shane received his Masters in Educational Technology from Harvard Graduate School of Education. He continued teaching technology for 2 years in Boston Public Schools before trying his hand in the corporate sector. He gained a lot of valuable knowledge from his time in corporate America and then continued to found and initiate after school technology clubs with TechBoston and other organizations.
