Golden Baobab is a literary nonprofit social enterprise committed to the development of children’s literature across Africa. It organizes the prestigious annual Golden Baobab Prizes for African authors and illustrators. Its publishing arm, African Bureau For Children’s Stories, produces quality children’s stories and multimedia to reflect African experiences.
Personal Bio
Deborah Ahenkorah Osei-Agyekum was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. She attended Bryn Mawr College where she served as the Co-President of Bryn Mawr’s African Students’ Organization, the Founder of Project Educate in Africa, a Residential Advisor, and as a Tour Guide for the Office of Admissions. While at Bryn Mawr, Deborah interned at The Global Fund for Children and the European Union Parliament. She was also a StartingBloc Fellow and participated in the Goldman Sachs Women’s Summit.
