Veathari Ventures facilitates access to real estate ownership through housing loans to women’s savings groups such as savings and credit co-operatives.

Personal Bio

Brendah Nantongo is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Veathari Ventures, an investment fund in Uganda that provides African women with housing loans to secure home ownership and create a foundation for business growth. Her commitment to this issue is deeply personal, rooted in her childhood experience of homelessness at age five caused by her parents’ separation. With a diverse background in health, agriculture, and children’s rights, Brendah consistently delivers operational excellence and deep community engagement.

Brendah holds a bachelor’s degree in science technology physics and a post-graduate diploma in project planning and management. Her leadership at Kaaro and AgNmo and advocacy at Delight Children’s Health Right’s Initiative have given her valuable experience for her role as CEO at Veathari Ventures. She’s been recognized as a Mandela Washington Fellow and a Microsoft Insiders4Good Fellow. At Veathari Ventures, Brendah’s mission transcends her professional endeavors, reflecting a lifelong dedication to empowering women with stability and financial independence through real estate ownership. Her story is one of resilience, turning personal adversity into a force for communal upliftment and empowerment.
