Improve career opportunities for women and young professionals in conflict-affected Middle East and North Africa (MENA) communities by connecting them with world-class employers and networks.

organization overview

MENA Alliances connects women and young professionals in conflict-affected communities across the Middle East and North Africa to global tech careers, tackling one of the region’s deepest crises: talent without opportunity. By identifying skilled professionals, preparing them to meet international standards, and shifting how global companies understand and hire from underrepresented regions, MENA Alliances turns overlooked communities into recognized contributors. Their vision is a world where geography, conflict, and identity no longer determine access to opportunity, where talent from refugee camps and occupied territories is valued, hired, and given the chance to thrive.

Personal Bio

Abeer AbuGhaith is the founder and chief executive officer of MENA Alliances, which has created hundreds of digital jobs and partnered with 80-plus global clients across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. A computer systems engineer by training, she built her first company, StayLinked—where she connected nearly 400 Palestinian freelancers to global clients—before launching MENA Alliances to scale that model region-wide. Raised in a refugee camp under military occupation, she experienced firsthand how talent without opportunity becomes a generation’s greatest loss, a reality that continues to shape the problems she chooses to solve. She holds an MSc in entrepreneurship and innovation from the University of London—where she graduated with distinction and received the BIG innovation Prize for her dissertation—in addition to leadership certificates from Harvard Business School and INSEAD. Named among the Most Powerful Arabs Under 40 by Arabian Business and recognized as the first high-tech woman entrepreneur in Palestine, she is driven by the belief that geography should never determine destiny.
