Create a 21st century labor movement that uses technology to win improvements in the workplace.
Coworker.org is a global platform for employees to run workplace campaigns, share information, and learn organizing strategies from one another. We match easy-to-use online tools with leadership development, research, media outreach and legal support that enable groups of employees to advocate for themselves. By supporting the development of worker-led advocacy networks we are nurturing new models for workplace representation and employee engagement that will vastly improve the economic futures of millions of workers.
Jess Kutch is a digital strategist and co-founder of Coworker.org, an online platform for workers’ rights. Previously, she served as organizing director at Change.org, where she led a team of organizers in providing strategic support to campaigns on Change.org’s platform. Her work raised Change.org’s profile around the world, and helped inspire thousands of people to launch and lead their own campaigns. Before joining Change.org, Jess spent five years directing online campaigns for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). During that time, she pioneered digital strategies for worksite organizing and issue campaigning within the labor movement. Her work has been profiled by top tier media outlets, including ABC World News, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Jess has presented at numerous conferences on topics related to digital organizing, most recently keynoting the FWD2013 conference in Melbourne, Australia. She is also a former Senior Fellow for the New Organizing Institute, where she regularly trains and coaches the next generation of digital strategists and changemakers.
