Personal Bio
Maggie Musanje Bukowa is the co-founder and CEO of Credorsave Services in Zambia. Born to smallholder farmers, she experienced firsthand the hardships brought on by unpredictable rainfall and drought — dual challenges that have only increased due to global warming and the resulting climate change. Maggie is driven by a personal belief that without accessible financing vehicles for rural farmers — who are at the forefront of the climate crisis — climate adaptation is impossible at scale. Before founding Credorsave Services, Maggie worked as a district information officer for the Zambian Ministry of Information. In that role, she spent most of her time interacting with rural farmers to understand their challenges and make recommendations to the government. Maggie holds a master’s degree in climate change: policy, media and society from Dublin City University.
