Personal Bio

Refiloehape Sesinyi is the founder of Inclusive Tech World. She was greatly influenced by her lived experience as a young blind woman raised in a family of blind members. Refiloehape witnessed the injustices inflicted on people with disabilities, especially women, girls, uneducated people, and poor people. To fight for justice, Refiloehape chose a career in disability and gender rights advocacy. At Austin Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired and at Peckham, she grew her understanding of the significant role that assistive technologies play in promoting independent living among people with disabilities. She is an alumna of the Mandela Washington Fellowship and YALI RLCSA Fellowship, which furthered her intensive civic engagement leadership training. She was awarded 2023 Best BA Honors Degree Student in Gender Studies by University of the Free State. At the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit, Refiloehape moderated a session featuring U.S. Special Envoy on Global Youth Abby Finkenauer on the importance of civic engagement. She was a speaker during the Africa Inclusive Conference and represented Lesotho adolescents and youth at ICPD30 Global Youth Dialogue.
