Personal Bio

Amy Slemmer is a health care attorney who brings more than twenty years of health policy and management experience in national and local arenas to Health Care For All. Over the course of her career, Amy has earned a reputation for her commitment to social justice, her ability to foster collaborations and partnerships, and for leading with vision and passion.
Prior to joining Health Care For All, she was the executive officer of American Red Cross Biomedical Services in Washington, D.C., which is responsible for providing more than half of the nation’s blood supply. She also served as Executive Director of DC Vote, an educational and advocacy organization in the District of Columbia. There, she gained national recognition and attention for her advocacy efforts on behalf of local residents’ effort to obtain full voting rights in Congress.
