organization overview
Dion’s Chicago Dream is reimagining the food insecurity response in food deserts everywhere. Its “Dream Team” is changing the way data functions in Black communities. They deliver boxes that provide a week’s worth of fresh produce to the doorsteps of food-insecure residents throughout Chicago. The Dream Team’s model, which has minimal steps between the farm and the consumer, provides the best possible user experience. Dion’s Chicago Dream’s consistent messaging, paired with an organic social media movement and real-life impact, is challenging the status quo of food justice work.
