Synnefa creates richer, more climate-resilient cash crop farmers in Africa. Synnefa’s modular greenhouses are fitted with precision farming technology, which helps smallholder farmers grow more using less resources. Synnefa combines IoT technology with on-the-ground farmer support. This pairing enables Synnefa to leverage data to provide training, access to finance, farm inputs, and market linkage.

Personal Bio

Taita Ngetich is an innovator and entrepreneur interested in solving challenges facing Africa’s agriculture sector. He was named a Mandela Washington Fellow and a Rainer Arnhold Fellow. He was also recognized as a Google Black Founders Fund Awardee and the MIT Solve Grand Challenges Winner 2023. He holds a master of business administration from Warwick Business School.

When Taita isn’t running his startup, he’s playing the grand piano, listening to Amapiano, or cooking for his family and daughter, Tatala.
